Family is at the heart of all we do in the Sutton Education Trust and we offer all our families opportunities to work with schools to support their children. On this page you will find course, presentations and links to organisations that work alongside the Trust to achieve this aim.
A number of schools employ Family Support Workers who can help families with a wide range of issues from money worries, housing, parenting support, liaision with other agencies, form filling and much more. Even if a school does not employ a worker directly, they are more than happy to offer some advice if needed.
Emotional Behaviour and School Avoidance (EBSA)
Some children can have anxiety and difficulty attending schoolm regualrly so one of the programmes that can be put in place across all the SET schoools is the EBSA programme. This is a half termly programme where chidlren and parents work with school trained staff to develop startegies to help children who can struggle to come into school. The sessions are practical and fun; there are workshops just for children, just for parents and for both parents and children together.
If you feel your child would benefit from thie programme, please contact your school directly for more information.
